Since its inception, our Counsellors have provided over 4000 appointments to clients online nationally and also face-to-face (Galway only).
Within our counselling service we provide:
- General Counselling
- Play Therapy
- Art Therapy
- Couples Counselling
- Addiction Counselling
- Bereavement Therapy
Furthermore, we provide building resilience and reducing stress/anxiety workshops to primary schools, secondary schools and universities/Colleges. The workshop is called ‘Mind Hacks’ and it has various different topics and formats depending on the age of the children/young people.
This year we are providing this workshop, for free, to 380 leaving cert and third level students in Galway City (funded by the ESB Energy for Generations Fund). Our intention is to take this workshop online so students from all over Ireland can access these supports 24/7 and ask a qualified mental health professional questions once a week when they have finished watching each module of the workshop/s.
Employee/Corporate Service: we provide a staff counselling service that is available 7 days a week by phone and online nationwide and online nationally/internationally. This is a pay-as-you-go for companies large and small. Helplink also provide workshops for leaders and employees with topics such as: safe communication, building reslience, stress and anxiety managment and mindfulness at work.
Irish Abroad Service (Cabhrú): With the support of the Minister for Diaspora, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the GAA, An Post and other agencies we provide a free online counselling service for Irish people who have emigrated. The service is currently available to Irish citizens that live in Australia and Canada and we intend to expand the service to the United States of America in January 2018.find out more ->
