Mental Health Services
Core Counselling Services: Helplink’s qualified, Garda vetted counsellors are available for appointments 7 days a week from 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday and 12 to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday; at low costs. Since its inception, our Counsellors have provided over 4000 appointments to clients online nationally and also face-to-face (Galway only).
Within our counselling service we provide:
- General Counselling
- Play Therapy
- Art Therapy
- Couples Counselling
- Addiction Counselling
- Bereavement Therapy
Employee/Corporate Services: we provide a staff (EAP) counselling service that is available 7 days a week by phone and online nationwide (nationally/internationally). This is a pay-as-you-go service for companies large and small. Helplink also provide workshops for leaders and employees with topics such as: safe communication, building resilience, stress and anxiety management and mindfulness at work.
Irish Abroad Service (Cabhrú): With the support of the Minister for Diaspora, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the GAA, An Post and other agencies we provide a free online counselling service for Irish people who have emigrated. The service is currently available to Irish citizens that live in Australia and Canada and we intend to expand the service to the United States of America in January 2018.
Workshops: we provide a suite of workshops to primary schools, secondary schools and universities/Colleges called ‘Mind Hacks’.
This year alone we are providing the workshops to 700+ students in Galway City and County.

Conflict Resolution Services
Conflict Resolution Services
In our Conflict resolution Centre (CRC) we provide a face-to-face, donation based Mediation Service for people dealing with family/housing or community disputes.
In addition we provide Ireland’s first Online Mediation Service.
The CRC has also provides a ‘Mind Hacks’ workshop for schools and the community called ‘Changing Conflict’. This workshop provides students/people with the skills and techniques to manage conflict in a more productive manner.find out more ->

OUR MANAGEMENT & ADMIN TEAM
Lochlann holds a BA in Psychological Studies (NUI Galway), a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology (Open University) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Psychology (University of Ulster). He was also the winner of the ‘One to Watch’ Social Entrepreneur SCCUL Awards in 2011 and the 2016 runner-up in the same category. Lochlann worked in Social Care for many years in the HSE West in residential and long-term family support; he also developed and piloted Galway City Social Work department’s first parenting programme for male caregivers during his time there. Previous to his time with the HSE he held multiple management roles in the retail and hospitality sectors. Furthermore, Lochlann is a voluntary Board Director/Member with Mental Health Reform (Ireland).
Lochlann founded Helplink Support Services in 2012 as he saw there was a need to be more innovative in how we provide mental health and conflict resolution services to our communities both at home and abroad.

Christopher Stoicovici is the administrator of Helplink’s Conflict Resolution Centre. Chris joined the Centre in July of 2017 and manages the daily duties of the CRC. Some of his tasks include assisting with the ‘Changing Conflict’ workshop, managing email inquiries, and grant writing. His previous roles include campaigning congressional races in his home state of Ohio and volunteering with the Lake Erie International Model United Nations.
Elizabeth (Liz) Connolly provides bookkeeping services for Helplink on a part-time basis. More bio to follow…
