eircom is delighted to announce that Helplink Support Services is the sixth winner of its Digital Boost initiative. Based in Galway Helplink Support Services was established by Lochlann Scott and is one of Ireland’s leading social enterprises. It offers its clients mental health support services in a way that suits them. The company offers a range of low cost to free support services including counselling, mediation and career guidance. These services are all offered via phone, online or in person. Lochlann Scott from Helplink Support Services is looking forward to the benefits that winning Digital Boost will bring to his business, “We are delighted to have won eircom’s Digital Boost initiative. We’ve built our services so they are available at times that suit people. We are open during the week and on weekends up to 9pm, seven days a week. Increasingly more and more of our work is being carried out through digital channels as this is what suits people. We recognise that these channels need to be optimised to help our clients. Having a strong online presence is not only good for our company but most importantly it is crucial for those who use our services. Our online element is becoming more important as it gives those in rural areas the chance to use our services from the comfort and privacy of their own home. This is particularly relevant given the stigma that sometimes surrounds mental health. I am looking forward to working with eircom and its expert team to optimise our online offering.” Gary Disley, marketing director, eircom Business and member of the Digital Boost Expert Panel said; “Once again, we were overwhelmed by the number of strong entries into Digital Boost this month. The panel was very impressed with Helplink Support Services. Lochlann and his team offer a great service that really makes a difference to the lives of all those it interacts with. At eircom we know how important technology is for every business and we truly look forward to working with Lochlann to ensure Helplink Support Services grows its business online, which will in turn help the people who use this great service.” As winners of Digital Boost, Helplink Support Services will benefit from a brand new state-of-the-art website, a strategy day with digital and marketing experts from the eircom Expert Panel, a complete telecoms package for one year and a place on the SureSkills Diploma in Digital Marketing, all to the value of €10,000.
