Counselling has helped me so much through my final year in University! I needed help dealing with anxiety. This anxiety was not confined to just the pressures of college but filtered out through other areas of my life! Claire always allowed me to speak my mind and gave me great tools to cope with my anxiety! My self confidence increased greatly! I would recommended Helplink to everyone!
I had a very good experience. My counsellor was very considerate and easy to talk to.
My sessions with Adrian were great. We started with a few specific issues I was having in my life. Adrian helped me unpack what they meant and where they were coming from. Our sessions began with a check in on the previous week and ended with a check in with my body and mind. Each week we built on what we'd already discussed at a rate that felt productive but also sustainable. Towards the end of my final year of university my schedule changed frequently and Adrian was very gracious in allowing for the changes to our times and structures as needed. I came away feeling that I had dealt with a lot of what I was initially struggling with in a way that made me feel prepared to take on the next phase of life on my own. I'd recommend Adrian to any young queer men who need support.
Such a wonderful counselor, really easy to open up to and makes you feel heard, understood and empathic. Im so glad I decided to go to therapy and was assigned Edana she really cares and it shows every week.
I had a very good experience with the organization and was allocated to my counsellor within a very short period of time.
I found Alexandra very calm and gentle. From the very beginning I felt very relaxed and at ease to talk openly about very private issues and more importantly I really felt I was being listened to and heard.
Alexandra was equally very supportive within and outside of my sessions that included sending me supportive self compassion meditation tools to work with outside of my sessions that I found really helpful. I feel I benefited from my sessions and the expertise of my counsellor. Thank you
Melissa was excellent, she made me feel very comfortable and gave me great advice that I will carry with me on my journey
Liam really helped me to become a much happier person. With his help and work, I am now able to be less anxious and turn my negative thoughts into positive ones.
I found these sessions to be invaluable to my healing. Both immediately and over time a safe space was developed to allow me to gain strength and support. I will always be grateful for this time and space and the kind empathy shown to me.
When I first started counselling, I was going through a traumatic year and felt my life was a mess. Thanks to the support and help I received, I am able to see things in a total new perspective which I would have never been able to before. I feel this has really benefited me and will be very useful in the future. I cannot recommend Liam O' Grady and this organisation more highly as it allowed me to explore my ongoing feelings and thoughts in a safe, non-judgmental place. I found it extremely helpful as they would accommodate and facilitate me for any appointments I needed.
